If there are any prohibited or hazardous materials in your load, could result in a extra charge to you. Examples of prohibited items are chemicals, batteries, and asbestos. Hazardous waste requires disposal at a special facility, and transporting it to the proper location costs extra.

Many prohibited items may be disposed of for an extra fee, depending on local regulations. If prohibited items end up at the dumpsite in your dumpster, the items will be returned to you and you can be fined up to $500.

Dumpster rental pick-up drivers can't legally transport overloaded containers with materials sticking up over the top or hanging over the edges. Leave ample space at the top of your load to avoid an overflow fee.
